Teach Crisis Intervention
A guide for short-term help to individuals who experience an event that produces emotional, mental, physical and behavioral distress or problems. A crisis can refer to any situation in which the individual perceives a sudden loss of his or her ability to use effective problem-solving and coping skills. A number of events or circumstances can be considered a crisis: life-threatening situations, such as natural disasters or other emergencies; individual traumatic experiences, like accidents or violent attacks; and personal dilemmas like suicidal thoughts or emotional breakdown. The primary goal is to help the individual in a crisis restore their equilibrium, function, and support them in finding a resolution to the crisis situation.

This can be taught in many settings such as corporate settings, industry settings, law enforcement, church or communities. First aid is very common and providing mental health knowledge/intervention should be just as common.
Early detection of sign and symptoms are the most productive for an intervention. The best method is prevention. We participate as a society in prevention for health care but not mental health. Mental Health is just as important as physical health. Nothing says to a community, employee, love one or spouse they matter as investing in their mental health and mental wellness.
